- Utilities Set-up - All electric and utility services (i.e., electric, trash, water, sewer) within the City of Rolla are billed through Rolla Municipal Utilities (RMU) located at 102 W. 9th Street. Visit https://rmurolla.org to set-up your account.
- If you need to change your trash receptacle, contact Environmental Services (573) 364-6693 after setting up your utilities with RMU. You can also visit https://rollacity.gov for details on additional services they provide.
- Don’t forget - FREE mulch is available!
- Natural Gas – All Natural Gas services are through Ameren UE https://www.ameren.com/service/start-stop-move/details.
- Propane Service- Several Propane companies provide service to Rolla residents. A quick internet search for “Propane companies in Rolla, MO” will provide you with available options.
- Recycling: While the City of Rolla strongly encourages recycling, curbside service had to be discontinued in 2022. However, you can still request a blue recycling tub from Environmental Services and use their 24-7 self-service drop off area at 2141 Old Saint James Rd. This is a great place to take bulky moving boxes and other recyclables.
- Special green bags can be purchased for $1.00 each, at this location, as well as the Finance Department, located on the 2nd floor of the City Hall. They are for use of excess trash that exceeds what your trash receptacle is allowed and are just placed beside your trash receptacle on your normal trash day.
- Internet Providers: A quick internet search for the Rolla area will provide you with many options.
- Post Office: The Rolla Post Office is located at 501 W 8th Street.
- Other Mailing Services: The FedEx shipping center is located at 11290 Twitty Drive and The UPS Store is located at 1028 S. Bishop Ave.

- Voter Registration: Contact the Phelps County Clerk’s Office (the election authority) at the Phelps County Courthouse, 200 N. Main Street, (573) 426-6115, to transfer your voter registration.
- Relief of unwanted goods: Tired of unpacking and just want to give it all away? There are many organizations that would gladly take those items off your hands. Goodwill: 1260 Forum Drive - Salvation Army: 102 E 4th Street – GRACE: 601 N Elm Street (just to name a few)

- Emergency Services: Call 911 for immediate emergencies or (573) 308-1213 for the non-emergency line to get dispatch.
- Parks Department: (Cemetery, Sporting Leagues, Acorn Trail, Parks property, Summer Kids Camp, Eugene Northern Community Hall Rental): 573-426-6901
- Police Dept.: located at 1007 N Elm Street – (573) 308-1213
- Public Works (street maintenance, snow removal, etc.): located on the 4th floor of the City Hall, (573) 364-8659.
- Environmental Services (yard waste, bulk pickup, recycling center, free mulch) located at 2141 Old Saint James Rd., (573) 364-6693.
- Community Development (inspections, building code, permits etc.) located on the 2nd floor of the City Hall, (573) 426-6985
- Fire Department: There are two fire stations for the City of Rolla, strategically placed for the most efficient response times. If you have an emergency, call 911. For non-emergency inquiries (i.e. burn permits), contact (573) 364-3989.
